The operable state of a system is maintained during operation, which requires knowledge the system’s state. Technical diagnostics, as process accurately obtaining information about state, becomes crucial stage in life cycle any system. study deals with relevant problem uncertainty quantification imperfect diagnostics. We considered most general case when object diagnostic tool, and human operator can each be one many states. concept error introduced, diagnostics states but erroneously identified being other derived generalized formulas for probability error, correct diagnosis, total error. proposed make it possible to determine probabilistic indicators diagnosis structures systems types failures tool operator. demonstrated theoretical material by computing an aircraft VHF communication fatigue cracks wings.
